Part of the Holding a Moment series, this study was painted live during the Collingwood Art Crawl at Matilda Swanson Gallery. A pine rooted in stone stands steady against wind and water, its form carried in broad brushstrokes,  a style revisited to match the strength of the subject. The piece reflects both resilience and place, holding a moment where land, tree, and shoreline meet.
